ORS: Fusion

Built around the opening range. The range sets the reference, and entries are plotted on a grid built from it — so the levels the strategy trades come from the session in front of it rather than from a fixed distance.

ORS: Fusion

What it is

A fully automated strategy built on the opening range

ORS: Fusion takes the opening range as its reference point and builds a grid of levels from it. Entries are plotted against that grid, so what the strategy reacts to is defined by the session it is trading rather than by a number chosen in advance.

It is the longest-running StratGeeks system, and the one with the widest set of filters and automation settings.

Instruments

What you can run it on

Nasdaq, Gold, ES (S&P 500 E-mini) and Crude, or any instrument your NinjaTrader data feed supports.

Templates are provided for MNQ specifically. Running other instruments is supported; the official templates are built for MNQ.

Key features

What is actually in it

  • Opening-range grid

The range defines the reference, and entry levels are plotted on a grid built from it.

  • Limit-order execution

ORS: Fusion uses limit orders exclusively. Fills happen at predetermined levels rather than at whatever the market offers.

  • Workspace templates

NinjaTrader workspaces and strategy templates, provided for MNQ, so setup starts from a working configuration.

  • Full access to the settings

Filters, automation settings and rule adjustments are all exposed. Nothing about how it behaves is hidden from you.

  • Regular and extended hours

Like every StratGeeks system, ORS: Fusion is built to run in both sessions.

  • Updates included

Ongoing optimisations and enhancements come with the membership, at no extra cost.

Why limit orders

Execution you can reproduce

ORS: Fusion uses limit orders throughout, and that choice is about testing as much as trading.

  • Predetermined fill prices
  • No slippage guesswork in testing
  • Minimal market impact
  • Waits for its level rather than chasing

The wider testing methodology — candlestick charts, execution assumptions, what we will not do to make a result look better — is on the How We Build page.

Your trade. Your choice.

Automated doesn’t mean locked in.

Run the strategy automatically or use it manually. When a trade is live, you can still exercise your own discretion — tighten a stop, adjust or extend a target, take the trade off, or hold it longer.

The system gives you the rules. You decide how much control you want to use.

Seeing it work

The evidence, not an impression

Four views of the same system: how it behaves on a chart, then what a full test of it produced across several opening-range configurations combined into one data set.

01 · Chart capture ORS: Fusion running on a 1-minute chart

Entries, levels and exits marked on the chart as the system placed them — the real thing, not a diagram of it.

02 · Cumulative performance What those days added up to

The same results accumulated across the period — including the flat stretches and the pullbacks along the way.

03 · Daily results Day by day, on a calendar

Each day’s net result and the number of trades behind it. Winning days and losing days at the same scale, with nothing averaged away.

04 · Drawdown Drawdown

How far the combined result sat below its own high-water mark at any point, and how long it took to recover.

Drag a capture sideways to read it in full.
